Illusione cigar question..68 or 88?

So I love the cg4 and I love the 68...but I swear they taste different. I think I actually think I like the 68 better and I am going now to buy a box....but...how does the 88 compare? Is it the best of both worlds? Similar to a CG4 or a 68 taste wise? What do you guys think and what would you buy? :lookaroun

Try singles of anything before buying a box. Get a cg:4 or 68 box if those ye like. Try some 88s before getting a box of those. After all, what if ye don't like them?

Yeah, I usually jump in head first and buy boxes! I think I will buy a box of 68's, a cg4 and an 88...smoke them back to back and compare.

Eric--I like the 88 best of all so far, with the 68 and mj12 close behind. I agree that the cg4 and mk taste different--good cigars, just not quite as much to my liking. I haven't tried the others yet.

I had a Epernay a bro here gave me and it was decent...but not what I expected from an Illusion...didn't have that "taste"...I also had the long lancero (sir lance-a-lot?) and that one did nothing for me at all. Patrick gave me a 68 and it was too damn awesome....I am looking forward to trying the 88! When U gonna be home btw?

i'm a huge fan of the MK and HL, but after those 2, i liike the f2

To each his own. I have difficulty ranking them as they seem to vary with my moods and their time in my humi. CG4 was a favorite, but lately they haven't appealled to me. Good thing I only have one left (which I will undoubtedly love). Then the mk was my favorite .... until that last one wasn't as fantastic. The eccj and the HL have never disappointed, so they would probably be at teh top of my list. The 88 is a great smoke too. I'm beginning to think I like my Illusiones fresh with as little age as possible.

You are one SOB Patrick! I was trying not to buy anything and that is all I could think about yesterday...the 68. I have 2 full humi's and I just had to have that stick...a box of them...TODAY! We will have to meet up outside JJ's sometime soon...My son has football now on tuesday and thursdays so I can't make JJ or PS...take it easy bro! :thumbsup:

IMO-especially with illusione, anything with a smaller ring gauge. I bought a box of cg:4s, 68s, 88s, mk, hl, and 888. I love the 88s, but if I were to recommend anything from the start with these cigars, it would be the 68, mk, hl, and cg:4s. Favorite off all are the mk's

the 68's are just a petite version of the mk's (hence the actual size)

I personally would get a box of mks

The 88 has become my go-to golf cigar.. alongside the Padilla 68 Golden Bear....I love me some 88's!!!!
