Just got back from New Orleans where we had a great time.

Saturday - Watched UFC event at Voila with AJ (blooz4me), Matt (Cyrann), Dave (uncelnino) and a bunch of other guys. BJ, our hometown hero, won so it was good. Pete Johnson wore his BJ Penn shirt but had to leave for dinner during the second fight of the card.

Sunday - Went to Dos Jefes and smoked with AJ, Matt, Dan (New Havana), Dion and crew and my Hawaii brothers. The Sazeracs are wicked!

Monday - Went to the crazy lounge party at Don Leoncio. Way, way too many people! Took at least 20 minutes to get a drink. There were at least 100 people smoking and drinking on the sidewalk in front of the store. Ran into Mark Just of Tower and a whole lot of other guys.

Tuesday - Ended up at a dive bar called the Circle Bar. Tim Ozgener and the entire CAO staff, Matt (Cyrann), and Gerry (La Casa del Habano P.V.). Here's a pic of Tim, Matt, Wai, and me.

Wednesday - Drank some great wines with Pete Johnson at the Windsor Court Hotel. Seven of us had some great bottles including a 1989 DRC Richebourg. What a way to end the show!

Now I have a lot of work ahead of me as I sort through and taste all of the show samples. Cain, Padilla Dominus, Nosotros, Tatuaje L'Esprit, Alec Bradley SCR and many, many more.

Will report as I get through them.

Marvin, It was a pure pleasure to meet you. Thanks so much for having me. It was a weekend that I won't soon forget.

I'm already making plans for next year, and I'll schedule a little better so that I can stay more than one day for the convention / festivites!

If you guys didn't already know, Marvin is a 100% class act, top notch guy!!

I can 2nd what you say about Don Leoncio. We were there Sunday & Monday and I had no idea there were other BOTL.org guys there. Smoke was thick, booze was flowing & conversation was loud. Great time.

Wish I would have gotten the new Padilla, Tat & Padron... I was told that all 3 weren't being sampled. Hmm... Though I can't imagine they'd give out the Padron 45ths. I saw one with a beautiful red band but it was a personal gift from Jose.

I wish I would have been at Dos Jefes on Sunday. I might have finally been able to score some of those famous Hawaiian release cigars then! Glad you had a great time. IPCPR/RTDA is something to be experienced. It's completely different but just as perfect as a week in a cigar factory.

Thanks AJ for introducing us to Sazerac! And Marvin for the sticks. Sunday evening was a great break from the hoopla. Bar almost to ourselves. Next year we return to Dos Jefes - and I bet we fill the bar!

Hello Mr. Punch. I didn't realize you were "walking amongst us" here at BOTL! :grin:

I sure hope we don't fill the bar next year. It was kinda cool having the whole place to ourselves!

And to the original post - looking forward to Nosotros, obviously the Tats later this year, the new My Father Le Bijou, the Viaje 50/50 and EPC (Ernesto Perez-Carillo's new stick with a full line coming next year)
