Is there any laws against smoking on a course?

How many smokes do people usually go through in 8 holes vs 19?

Do you just hold it in your mouth while swinging or have your buddy hold it while you swing (kind of an inconvenience)?

I have only golfed a couple times but I was wondering because I might be going on vacation and it would be nice to have a cigar if my grandparents don't come with me.

"but I still enjoy an Avo LE05, Ashton cabinet or R+J Short churchill with coffee in the morning..."

Excellant Choice Skip, I put that right up there with the original Master Blend!

I've never been to a course where you couldn't smoke on the course. Some even let you smoke in the clubhouse.

I usually go through two per nine.

I never hold a cigar in my mouth while swinging, putting sometimes, but ball striking, never. Toss it on the ground, set it on the cart, use a cigar minder whatever works.

I pretty well always start with a Tat P1, and then whatever else I toss into my travel humi for the back 9 and 19th *usually something decent, I don't even keep junk sticks anymore.

Perdomo Champagne is a nice one, or any Illusione. I perfer not to smoke the higher end cigars out on the golf course because I am always putting them down and picking them up. Anything can happen such as them being stepped on or forgotten. Anyone around Sacramento wanna set up a round of BoTL golf? I am up for it this weekend if anyone else is. Let me know where you like to play, I love Ancil Hoffman, Turkey Creek, Whitney Oaks (this corse is so friggin hard!), and have been wanting to try Apple Mountain. I suck at the game but love to play!
Hey Joe,

My wife is from Citrus Heights and her parents live in Orangevale now, so we get up there a couple times a year. I'll let you know next time I'm headed up that way. I've played Whitney Oaks and Turkey Creek with my father-in-law, and love both of those courses.

As for the higher end sticks on the course, I took my first Ashton out to the course with me a few months back and set it on the cup holder while I went to hit my shot. Apparently, it had rolled off onto the ground without me realizing it and was run over by the cart. Needless to say, I wasn't even an inch into it. Enjoyed it while it lasted though. This is why I've been smoking Onys on the course lately.

I lit up a V belicoso today and enjoyed it while I was gathering my gear and driving to the course.Had enough left for the first two holes. Then I got my game face on and made birdie on the last for a 39. I'll be following the exact same procedure next time!
