How do you go about getting bombed by the fellow? I have been told I can get bombed by him but I need to give my address first? Maybe I am just paranoid but I also don't like telemarketers. I don't know if I can trust this it is not even my house its my parents house.

Whoa now! I'm not mooching here. I was offered to get bombed by some one that was not shuckins. So it sounded a little suspicious being that he asked for my address. I didn't even know he was a poster on this site I thought maybe it was a company that just did random drawings for free cigars or something.

I think you are just misreading his OP it seems like he is asking how the process of bombing works.
Just asking the logical question here: how could one possibly get bombed w/o an addy? I mean... the PACKAGE gotta get DELIVERED, right?

Yea I just don't understand how it all works not only getting bombed but also trading cause it seems like you guys just have to trust people. And how are you supposed to trust some one you don't know?
Suppose you send em your package and they don't send out the cash (however you do that).

Hence the reason for Trader Feedback. If someone has high trader feedback, then trust them and I am sure you will be happy that you did. If someone has 0 feedback such as yourself, they have to pay or send cigars before the other trader sends anything.. Makes sense right? If you asked this as your OP I wouldn't have had any problems with what you said. Asking to get bombed, asking for free smokes, etc is in poor taste IMO and whether or not that is what you were doing it sure sounded like it. I am sure you will be able to answer the rest of your questions about trading just by doing a little searching, you are not the first person that has asked I am sure.
I tend to think the way you are to a degree. Either the newb is extremely niave, or is acting so to score some smokes. Hope it is the former.

When I started coming to this site, it appeared that the most frequent new posts were in regard to being bombed (and usually by shuckins). For someone who doesn't know, the word "bombing" is not self-explanatory. At first it seems like by just being a member of the site, someone will send you free sticks, but the fact that addresses/names aren't readily available makes it even more confusing. Here are all these posts of primo sticks that people have been sent for no apparent reason at all. It's an enticing prospect for a newb! One thinks, "Do I just throw my address out there and get free sh!t?" But there are rules and etiquette to the bombing process: I finally figured this out by reading through enough posts and learning how bombing works, but I was in cashed's predicament when I first visited this site.
I guess all I'm saying is, bombing can be extremely confusing for someone who doesn't know. This board has a VERY generous culture with nearly constant bombardment :grin: from most of the active members. At first glance, it seems like you get bombed just for showing up.
You get bombed when you are offered to get bombed, earn it, or deserve it, not by asking for it. I know there are a few posts that touch on this, but I think it would definitely be beneficial if one of the BOTL vets could write a sticky on this.

This is why it is called BOTL we are brothers with a very common interest. Like twenty5 said w/o good feedback then make them send there end first so that they may establish some credentials. If you are not here for more than just trading then the cigar world is really not for you. I've met some great folks that are now good friends from herf'ing and this is a brotherhood!

twenty5, rabb, this is my doing, all me, i TOLD him to post and ask if i was a 'safe" person to give his address out to, he in no way solicited a bomb, he is new and was trying to understand what bombing was, and how you end up getting bombed.
so when i emailed him, and told him that getting bombed was quite easy and i'd love to take care of him, he was concerned that i might be a telemarketer or going to put him on some mailing list. i thought posting a thread might be his best bet on finding out what's what.
