Can I Get Some Help Over Here!

I am looking at ordering some boxes of thinner ring gauge Cubans for smoking/aging.

Problem is for pretty much all of my 20ish years of smoking I have stuck with thicker ring gauges.

Can you lads suggest a few of your favorites that offer a nice mix between quality and value?

Try some La Gloria Cubana No.1 and No.4, they are just spectacular when aged properly.

Also, strong votes for Cohiba Lancero, Cohiba Coronas Especiales, Trinidad Fundadores, Monte Especial No.1 and No.2, and El Rey del Mundo Grandes de Espania.

Try some La Gloria Cubana No.1 and No.4, they are just spectacular when aged properly.

Also, strong votes for Cohiba Lancero, Cohiba Coronas Especiales, Trinidad Fundadores, Monte Especial No.1 and No.2, and El Rey del Mundo Grandes de Espania.

i might seemed to be a little obsessed with it but the partagas culebra is the only one i can suggest and i just wanted to say that avatar is hilarious

are we talking the monte 2 which is a piramide or the Monte Especial 2 which is a laguito which is kinda like a short lancero? Either one imho does brilliantly with age.. the especial no.2 looses some of its kick with age but that leads to a lot more in terms of flavour and the pure joy of smoking. So if you're looking for something that will kick your ass the Especial 2 will probably disappoint you with age on it but if you're looking for something with tons of flavour and character this smoke is right on the money.

I'm amazed man that's the first I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about an aged Monte 2.. I've always had a great time with these I try and smoke one as often as I can.

How's Ramadan treatin' ya?

I agree - especially the No. 4's - fantastic boxes from 2000 and 2002 can be easily found.

Ramadan is ok, hellish at work but fun at home "especially after having a nap before breaking my fast".

:scratchhe would be a tad unfair to pass judgement on the longterm ageing potential of the 08 productions don't you think? considering how they haven't had a chance to rest.. either way to each his own I've had great experiences with this particular stick if anyone has a problem with it they can send them to me for proper disposal.

I was just saying what I've heard on the show. I have no experience when it comes to aging cigars. I can't leave my stogies alone for a week, so a couple of years is a no go. :grin:

Old school Partaga flavor.
