Well, está and estan in the way of "are" merely are conjugated for different persons. El/ella está; ustedes/ellos/ellas están.

Me English I believe to be quite neat, mi español es excelente et mon francais est décent. I am thinking on taking Chinese, though. That or German; after all, the more languages I learn, the best for working life (and beingin a publiccollege a semester of either one of those languages is $0.10 USD...)

Got a green light from the creator so here it goes:
Most colleges in Mexico are private. A good (educational-wise) private college here costs around $1,000 USD a month. But there are three public colleges here, one of them (mine) is rated as the best college in any Spanish speaking country: Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. I pay $0.95 pesos a YEAR (less than $0.10 USD) for regular classes. That plus me material and whatever extra-curricular classes I've. Add also the special transport there and an insane ammount of services the college provides...

I know how to speak english, spanish and more or less (still in the process) Italian. My Italian teacher says that i do very good to be actually the first time to learn a language because english and spanish i learned almost the same time, my first 5 1/2 years of life was all english, then when i started school, spanish.
