OK, first post on this forum, which is tremendous by the way.

Here's what is confusing me:

On several websites that sell Cuban cigars, I see the same size cigar offered multiple times each with different prices. Why is this and why the difference in price? In most cases, the price range is ~ $2.00 but I'm still puzzled as to why this is.

An example would be the H. Upmann Magnum 46. A couple of sites had this listed with three seperate entries, each with different prices. :scratchhe

Thanks for any info.

Well, people here wouldn't know since cuban cigars aren't allowed to be spoken like that here.

I don't see that he posted anything "wrong"...he didn't mention specific sites/sources, he just asked for a point of clarification on why things are priced they way they are. <shrug> I don't see a faux paux here at all.

As for the question itself, I have no idea without knowing more info about the specifics--perhaps it's quantity, perhaps different aged sticks, I dunno.

I haven't learned much yet about origins of the cigar. I couldn't tell you the difference between two different cigars from two different countries.

I am just saying he comes on here, and his first post is about cigars he should not even be buying. All I am saying is an introduction would be nice, at least he put it in the right section.

Sorry if I came off as harsh.

Try not to take any offense,,,it's just a good thing to introduce yourself when coming into a forum for the first time,,,much like you'd come into a restaurant and want to share a table with some others. Manners are important and after introducing oneself then questions are easily answered afterwards.

Quick run to the introductions sections dude ! What are you waiting for ? But regarding your question, you know that there are 3 H.Upmanns Magnums ?

1- H.Upmanns Magnum 46 - regular
2- H.Upmanns Magnum 46 - 2009 Edicion Limitada
3- H.Upmanns Magnum 50

Hope this clarifies your question.

Now you owe me an introduction brother

Well, I have nothing against Niners fans, if you were a Ravens fan . . . well you would be out of luck. Why don't you post an intro and help us to get to know you since you are asking for our help.

When pricing cigars, presentation has something to do with price. A cabinet of cigars is priced differently than tubed cigars, or cigars that are packaged in a 3x5 format in cardboard packs. Look closely at the way the cigars are listed.

Now, tell us about yourself. Enquiring minds want to know!

OK, intro thread has been posted.

Apologies for not doing that first. Anyway, I appreciate the information shared so far. If any other members can help make things clearer for me, please post.

Thanks again.

How do you know he shouldn't be buying them? Can't a 'Niners Fan' be from an international location?

Nah, I don't think you was all that harsh--and I agree it's "good etiquette" to post an intro first, but I just wanted to point out that he didn't necessarily break any rules, that's all.

I a playing the odds. NinersFan could be living in an international location, but the odds are that he or she is still an American. I have a lot of friends from other countries, and all but one can't stand Football Americana, and the one who does, is not a big enough fan to use a team name as a screen name.

Anyway I think it has been said already, but just look closely at the discriptions, because there will be a difference. Be sure to check if they are LE's or RE's, and there packaging will sometime change the price.
