After constantly reading about all the love Pete Johnson and Tatuaje cigars get I have decided I want to break down and try them out. Every day there appears to be a post about the latest, greatest Tat to come out. If I were only able to get a fiver of one or two releases, what would you recommend so that I can enjoy the Tat experience? Given budget considerations I'm looking for regular release or readily available cigars, no limited release/special editions. Also, there are no retailers within 3 hours or so of my location. Where should I go (online or call) to purchase what you recommend?

Thanks as always for the suggestions y'all offer

my suggestion would be dan at newhavanacigars.com. he carries a nice line of all tats and has many samplers as well so you can try different models. as for what you'd like, that's up to you. pete has sticks in all different price points and all different strengths. give nhc a try. you won't be disappointed.

Very nice Skipper!

As far as Tat's to recommend, I am just getting started myself. So far I've had a...

P3 (white label - toro) - not too bad, great for the price
Unicos (brown label torpedo) - very good. Would be my favorite if not for the...
Reserva J21 (brown label) - probably the best stick that I have had so far.

I'm going to keep buying and trying. I'm sure they're all great in their own way.

Well once again the BOTL members went above and beyond... thanks for all the suggestions, I'll get in touch with Dan to see what kind of samplers I can get a hold of. I'm both nervous and excited to see what The Skipper sends this way. I'm open to any more suggestions and thanks again

Nice work Skip!

Once you find what you like...do like the others say and hit up dan at nhc! For my .02...Angeles are the shiz for a "budget" stick. Good luck on your journey into smoking crack;) Just as skip is proving..."The first hit is for free..." A slippery slope from here! But the best damn slope out there!
