Most years Habanos sends a roller to Canada to tour around and show off his skills. This year was one of those years. They had sent the roller from the RyJ factory store. He is a master roller and for a while was also a manager at one of the factories. He has for the past few years been the roller we have gotten not only because of his ability to roll well but for the fact that he speaks english very well. Because of his english I often refer to him as the Cuban rockstar. Not many cubans sport a Speedmaster while rolling but international travel and an impressive rolling ability lead to many gifts. Personally because of all of this I have kinda overlooked his cigars thinking he was more flash and didn't always get great tobacco. This year was different, oh man, this year he has some of the best tobacco I have ever tasted. The only problem is that with the show part he only makes 40 cigars and the stores he visist have to limit you to 2 per person. Today is his last day in Edmonton and I think that I will have to go and chase him down for a couple more on my way to the airport. If anyone here ever makes it Havana make sure you stop by the RyJ factory and say hello to Hamlet. If you are lucky he will have spectacular tobacco if not you will still get to meet one of the most outgoing and entertaining ambassadors to Habanos that there is.
