This was a powerful, yet smooth and rich tasting cigar . The wrapper was dark, small veined . The draw was excellent even though the construction was "rock hard". There were large volumes of soft blue/white smoke This is a flavor powerhouse, gobs of smoke, perfect draw, fabulous. Despite the massive flavors, this cigar is smooth all the way down to the end:stretchgr:stretchgr.

after smoking the 4 and the 2, i liked the 2 better. either way, you can't go wrong for this guy to be your yardstick to which everything else is measured. move over monte #2!

I tend to judge cigars based on the flavor profile of the brand. If it deviates from the flavors of that brand then I'm a little disappointed. Granted, you can't do this for every cigar in a marquee.

Then what ones your cigar?
Well, the one cigar that I base all others on is the Upmann Sir Winston. To me that is the most complex cigar around. A Sir Winnie with some age is absolute bliss!!

That or the RyJ Churchill. But that's me. People go ga-ga over PSD4's and that's fine. I'm not saying it's not a good smoke, I just don't happen to like them. It just doesn't fit what I like to smoke. You guys smoke those PSD4's, that leaves more of the other stuff for me!!!

I think I might have to find some of those and give that bad boy a try:stretchgr

For CC I would vote Trinidad Coloniales. Not necessarily the strongest, but subtle, complex, refined components, perfect construction.

For NC I would vote the Tat Black robusto... same reasons.

I wish my tastes ran to the inexpensive cigars,,,but nooooo. I will continue the search for all cigars that I can find under $4 that taste like a premium smoke.

I agree, oldglory.

I'm finding the PSD No. 4 to be one of my favorite cigars -- if not my favorite.

I've got four of them left, and I will cherish each one.
