I know there are mixed opinions of Graycliff cigars, but my experience with them is limited. I'm currently smoking a Double Espresso, and I must say I'm really enjoying it.

It's a little 4.5" stick, but it has big flavor. For a stick with a decent amount of ligero, this thing is extremely smooth. There are nice dark chocolate and coffee bean flavors, along with a very rich tobacco taste. Quite a bit of spice through the nose, but very smooth still as I said. It's a full-bodied, full-strength cigar despite it's size.

I'm about half way through and there are some other cool flavors here I can't really describe, almost like roasted fruit or something ... I need Moro's gifted palate, lol.

So anyone else like these? How about other Graycliffs? I have a Crystal from Shuckins that I'm looking forward to even more now.

Thanks for the review, I haven't tried it yet. I think some people are put off by Graycliff because of the inflated MSRP's on them. Look at Joe's daily deal right now... the G2 PGX Toro's are listed at $100 and are being sold for $27.50. :headroll:

I've never smoked a Graycliff, but have an Expresso in the humi that I've been waiting to try. Looking forward to it now. Thanks for the review.

I have been looking for the double expresso on a deal because I would like to pick up a 5 pack to try. Have had the 1666 that I had in a sampler but it did not blow my socks off like I expected, and have not tried their other blends just because of the high MSRP and you dont hear a big buzz about their sticks. Thanks for the review!

As far as I am concerned the DE is the only Graycliff that is worth smoking...really a nice cigar, but WAY too expensive...I wait to buy them on Jambalaya for about 25% of retail :)

The Graycliff cigars are very good - but, I agree, not worth the MSRP. The deals that can be found make these cigars great. The Gran cru, Espresso, Double Espresso, Original (Red), Professional (Blue), 1666 and G2 are all good.

Jwyatt55 - Pm me your address - I can get a few out to you...

The only Graycliff I have ever enjoyed was a DE, the rest seem to be ordinary run of the mill smokes that have a premium price tag. I would much rather a Tatuaje, Illusione, etc for a fraction of the price.... Opus can be had for less than some of these "premiums" sell for..... JMHO

I've had a few Graycliff sticks & imho this one is by far the best. Not worth the price tag usually but well worth a try if you can get a good deal on them.

I have to agree, the construction of this stick is not bad. I have smoked a lot of there stick find them to have burn issues and soft spots. But the D.E. is not bad.

Only one I've had is the 1666 torpedo. I got it through a cigar pass and smoked it on the golf course. It was decent as I recall, but there are WAY better cigars for the price point. I'll have to give the DE a try some time.

Yea, the 1666 is the only other Graycliff I've smoked as well, but that's their budget-line stick (some people refuse to call it a Graycliff, lol). I think they're pretty good myself, but not awesome. But they are $4 cigars, not $15 or whatever nonsense the msrp is.

The retail for the Espresso series is around $20, and they actually get those prices in some shops. The only shop I have seen them in sells the robusto for closer to $15-$16. But these Double Espressos can be had for $8 or less on cigarbid regularly, and even come up on Joe's Jambalaya from time to time. I wouldn't pay $20 for another one (or anything else, for that matter), but they're worth $6-$8 I think.
