Allright everyone, I have had this conversation with many fellow smokers locally, and would love to get everyones thoughts.

I find myself reaching for some very different sticks due to the climate in my area. I find, that I always enjoy Padron's, LFD double ligero maduro's, oscuros, and Añejo's. However when the fall and winter seasons come, these sticks in particular, always seem to fit the bill more so than in the warmer months. Many cc's that I smoke, tend to fair better in warmer weather; that does not mean I neglect my cc collection in the winter months:). Does anybody else have a seasonal stick(s) they fire up, and find they enjoy due to the weather?

That's a great theory that I have never even thought about! I know for me that I'm going to smoke less in the winter months, especially because I'm up in college at Albany, NY. Haven't gone though enough season changes as a smoker to have picked up on it. I'm sure others have though! Quite an interesting idea.

Dave, you raise another great point. Will more of you be smoking more or less due to the winter weather on it's way? Personally, my smoking will be affected. I will always have my local b&m's I can go to, however, at times, I love to sit with a good friend, or by myself and enjoy a stick outside.

My smoking goes down in the winter, just out of sheer convenience... but when I do make the trips to the B&M it tends to be for longer periods of time and money!

Well I plan to start smoking my nubs soon because of the cold weather. I do not know that they take less time but they look like they might. And also just because I want to post a thread that reviews and compares all the nub cigars.

I'll be smoking more than normal until it's too cold (soon!), and then much less and shorter sticks.

In the evening, it's already down to robusto weather. Soon it will be petite corona weather at night, then down to tiny-stick weather for close to 2 months! Hopefully I'll still be able to get a pc in a few times a week during the day, we'll see!

Its getting colder here in west Michigan and Im going to have to cut back soon. However, I have enjoyed a few smokes recently, braving the cold weather for my room mates intramural soft ball games. I have paired them quite successfully with some seasonal favorites such as sam adams octoberfest and warm cider and rum. I think I like a spicier smoke, something reminiscent of fall spices.

Hmmm, fall spices and rum, I'm thinking of Zaya and a smooth 48 (añejo). For some reason, it always fits the bill. Sitting at a softball game; I hope the people didn't mind the smoke from your stick:) dammit, now I want a stick!!!

I mostly smoke in my truck on the ride home. I usually finish up on the porch before I go in. Now I think I'll just be sitting in the truck listening to the Celtics or Bruins game while I finish my smoke.

I got a box of LaRiqueza #5 for two reasons:
1) To prepare for the winter months
2) They are a f'n awesome smoke!
