I would have to find another golf course to play if ours did that. If they decide to fine the $100 for smoking on the public golf course we can chip in and help him pay it. :cbig:

I can't comprehend how a person can't even smoke outside. Government needs to look at how to improve our economy not make laws about not smoking outside. Whatever!?!

the sad thing is that san fran is a "sanctuary city", so any illegals can take refuge in the city and not be prosecuted...... but light up a cigar....:angerhead

While the politicians who write these freedom-restricting laws pollute their own souls through corruption by lobbyists, graft of payouts from constituent entities for favorable law passage, embezzlement of tax dollars they authorize for their and staff members' family vacations/perks, all the time justifying with the thought, "Everyone in my position does it. It's just part of the job."

Makes a free republic seem a bit less noble and whole lot more scary.

wow. can't even smoke outside on city property. At least we haven't gotten that ridiculous up here yet.
Anybody here from Maryland? Several years ago the community of Friendship Village (I think it's a group of highrise apartments) passed an ordinance prohibiting smoking anywhere (or maybe anywhere outdoors) in the Village. The Court ruled that the Village did not have the authority to make such a regulation and did not opine as to whether smoking should be regulated.

Hell if i had jordan's money id keep smoking and paying that $100 fine and donate another $100 to The First Tee Program.
On the other hand, if you had Jordan's prestige, would you want to potentially diminish it by flaunting the law? That sort of open disregard would not make a good example for his legions of young fans. His PR would suffer.

i dont' think it would. he is well regarded, and the majority of people realize how stupid the law is. san fran is a bastion of extreme liberalism. and i mean extreme. michael is bigger than anything they could do to him.
