Never heard of them, but they sure look dark!! Maduro?
Not a maduro...

read about them. supposed to be tasty and a decent price.
You should have some today...:smokingbo

Anyway, its JC Newman/Fuente's new Nicaraguan stick and most assuredly trumps the El Baton and recently got rated 90 or 91 by CA.

I'll let you guys smoke it b4 I bias any opinions.

i'm more interested in the background!!!!
Julius Caeser (JC) Newman immigrated to the United States in 1888 and lived the American Dream. In 1895, he founded the J.C. Newman Cigar Company, which today is America's oldest family-owned premium cigar maker. One of J.C. Newman's earliest brands was the Brick House. With the imposing brick house featured prominently in hte label, J.C. Launched this brand to honor his family heritage and his beloved childhood memories.

The vintage Brick House cigar label depicts the pastoral setting similar to J.C. Newman's childhood home - the only brick house in his village. Not only did J.C. Newman's brick house serve as the family's residence, but it was also the town's tavern. There, locals and visitors alike gathered nightly to eat, drink, smoke, and enjoy each other's company.

The Origianl Brick House cigars were Cuban puros, handmade with the finest Havana tobaccos. Third-generation cigar-makers, Eric and Bobby Newman, have recreated this vintage cigar brand by blending specially aged Nicaraguan tobaccos with hearty Havana Subido wrapper leaves to match the rich, well-balanced flavor of their grandfathers Brick House Cigars.

Handmade in Nicaragua, these flavorful cigars are designed to be enjoyed and shared with friends - just like J.C's friends and family would have done 150 years ago in the original brickhouse.

From a different site and cool one if you guys have never seen it...

Thanks for that, but I *think* he may have been referring to the article that the cigars are sitting on top of. Something about a man who drowned while swimming near Alcatraz....

GEEZ...

i haven't smoked one yet but i'll do a reveiw when i do.

the background is from the book Crime of 1873. it is about the manipulation of the price of silver in an attempt to keep the U.S. dollar from being backed by gold. Ralston almost pulled it off too. He had just lost his entire fortune when his plans fell through the morning of his swim. it's an interesting look into the corruption that went into creating the gold standard and it effects on the world.
