Get a digital hydrometer from wal mart. They have one for $7. And go to Heartfelt for beads.65%. There ya go! Trust us, you will want to start bigger. In no time at all you will max out a 20 count. I dont know if its the same for a 20 count but a 120 count may be able to hold about 70 to 80 cigars.

Shoot I wasn't even going to get another desktop, I was just gonna go with the wine fridge, but I am definitely buying one of those.... For that price, why not.

Good lead G-Dub. My Mom is the artsy type and does this broken glass mosaic artwork in her free time. She told me to give her a humidor and she would do it up with some mosaic glass any way I like. I'm thinking the Tat symbol. This is the humidor I'm going to buy for the project. Thanks!

if you need a humidor that will hold 100 cigars, better look at a 150 to 200 stick humidor.
next up, a recalibratable hygrometer. Years ago, I spent over $100 on one, now they are about $25 with the recalibration kit. Then, throw away the supplied humidifier, and get a good humidifier of your choice. Heartfelt beads, or a crystal gel humidifer would be the top 2 choices. Next think is to go through the process of seasoning your humidor, and hoping your humidor doesnt leak. Prices seem to be dropping on desktops, and that usually doesnt mean quality is going up.

Now, even though I am in the process of adding desktops to my store, I still am a big fan of easy and cheap. To me, easy and cheap is a humidor jar that will hold 25 cigars. I dont care if you spend $1000 on an Elie Bleu, a humidor jar will be easier to use, and store your cigars perfectly. If you are lucky, your $1000 desktop will do as good of a job as the humidor jar. Give me the choice of a $15 humidor jar vs a desktop, and I take the jar anyday. I am old, fat and lazy. I like thiings simple and perfect.

next up would be an igloodor. Kinda like a big humidor jar. usually trouble free. an occassional leaky door can be fixed with weatherstripping.

after that, a big cigar cabinet.

I'd say do the igloodor, that way if you get turned away from cigars you can still get some use from the cooler. If you spend a ton of money on a humidor and find you don't enjoy cigars like you thought or can't keep the proper temp/humidity your not stuck with a nice wooden brick. Coolers are cheap to setup and maintain compared to humidors...this leaving more money for sticks and accessories!!! just my .02

FYI...I learned the hard way I've got 2 desktops I no longer use and I had a vino winecooler and sold it due to a few unseen problems...now I'm totally content with my igloodor...and plan to get a 120/150qt cooler...

Just get a cooler and some humidity beads from Heartfelt. I wish I would have skipped buying humi's and just bought coolers. I have found that coolers maintain humidity better.
