My son gave me one of these about a year ago, it's been napping since then as I have yet to set aside an afternoon to fire it up. Thanks for the reminder, I need to make this bad boy a priority...:cbig:

I had 2, neither were good. Seemed like poor construction, which causes burn issues. That combined with a one dimensional taste that I could do without led to an overall bad experience.

I will never smoke another Gurkha and here's why.... I am sitting at a B&M I frequent with a friend of mine and the owner of Gurkha is there talking with the owner in back. The kid running the shop goes back and grabs a couple of samples of the Evil and gives them to each of us. A bit later the meeting ends and the owner is on his way out I stop him and we each thank him for the sample. My buddy then tells him that he looks forward to it and the only Gurkha he has ever smoked is a Shaggy that I had given him. The owner replies,"if you enjoyed the shaggy, you really need to try this." He reaches into his bag and gives him a to be released Triad and tells him that the cigar will retail for about $100.00 a stick leaving me high and dry. Is it just me or is that one of the sorriest things in the world? I left there vowing never to smoke another Gurkha (I know huge sacrifice right?) and with an even greater appreciation for guys like Pete that truly get it. Just my .02

ive had many gurkhas and too me they all seemed like decent smokes... the best one so far was a full torpedo... that thing was so easy to light and gave me no issues... the beast looks like its constructed poorly the wrapper already seems to be falling apart but im still pumped about trying it..
