Ancient Warrior, Centurion XXX, Black Dragon, and Legend perfectos are all good smokes. Many of them are not that great. and exploding gurkahs are not that far between, just wait and it'll happen.
Ditto all of these plus add a couple more with Titan and Beast. Gurkha is always a cigar that gets less than honorable mention because of the amount of cigar brands they put out,,,probably not the best marketing scheme but like with everything you have to pick out what you like,,,not what someone tells you that you should like.

Gurkha is a marketing machine. They don't make any cigars, almost all of them are made by Carlos Torano who also makes 98% of the CAO line. If you find a Gurkha you like you can probably find a very close flavor from his regular line or in CAO for far less MSRP. Had some good Gurkha's, but since they have so many hyped cigars that are average at best, I got tired of trying to weed through their BS to find one I liked and then search out the sales so I don't get screwed at the register. Really cool boxes though!

I haven't found a Gurkha that I think is even up to the quality of the average Torano or CAO. Sam and I had a Beauty and a Beast that we smoked for our anniversary (she bought them for us earlier on in our smoking journey) and we were both disappointed in them - both on an absolute level and certainly relative to their very high price (I must add that this in no way diminishes the sentiment behind our smoking them - I'm a lucky, lucky man). We had some Regents and we found them to be almost unsmokable - they had this terrible diesel fuel taste to them.

I don't get it. Overinflated MSRP I can understand, bullshit marketing and branding I get. But there are so many companies that can at least do that and deliver a decent smoke. Why can't Gurkha?

When I first started smoking cigars, I thought I had really found something with Gurkha. Since then I've tried a buttload of different ones and now I can't stand them.

I am convinced they just keep rebanding crap that doesn't sell to see if it sells under a different name. How else do they come up with a new cigar every 60 days...

Some are pretty tasty however, there are just too many damn lines IMHO
I agree. Just won a fiver from cigar-bid...Triple Ligero Toro, anyone try these? I got them for 17 for a fiver, not bad so I went for it.

I see what you mean about cigarbid being addictive...been checking it regularly.
I don't think I understand that I HAVE NO ROOM IN MY HUMIDOR!! Damn impulsive buying tendencies...

I have heard some poor reviews, but have never tried one myself. They have a cigar that sells for over 100,000 a box. I believe that random duche bag actors who have an absolute absence of good taste purchase them; like Matthew Mcconaughey.

I do the same damn thing, I have ordered about 25 Cigars today and bought 5 from the store.... and I have no room in humidor LOL.... Guess that means I have to smoke a lot before the 25 get here.... And ofcourse I have to hurry up and get myself a wine fridge.

Anyway, back on topic, I like most of the Ghurkas I have had, however I have had one that I hated, and ofcourse I hate the prices and refuse to buy them unless they are on sale...

Like they are on cigar.com right now.
