OK, so after reading this thread I thought I'd try another RP. I pulled a Vintage 92 at the tailgate party, it blew up on me and the taste was average at best. So I guess my opinion hasn't changed on them. Too bad, I used to enjoy them.

I had the RP The Edge Lite and was very inpressed. Very nice flavor! It was a very consistant smoke in my opinion. Looking forward to trying some more RPs.

I hated the Edge. I was surprised because most guys rave about it. I threw it after the half way point. The 90 & 92 were ok when I first got into cigars, but now I'll pass on all Rocky's offerings.

It's not a horrible stick imho. Real mild & not complex at all. Best draw I've ever had on any stick though. Give it a try. Normally I'd never ever recommend a RP, but the Decade is worth a shot if you get it cheap.

some sort of artificial. or one of the most impressive leaves i've ever encountered.

the uniform color, the thickness and the leaf, i did find that they are of the highest primings of the plant, so that may explain it - but they seem just a bit more than completely natural.

I know I'll never smoke it again. So either way doesn't worry me much. I think that the Decade was ok but a letdown for all the hype around it. :tongueout

he's a warehouse type. too many brands for me to believe there can be any type of quality control. but there are more positives with his catalog than gurkhas.

I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed the ITC 10th. It reminded me a little of the Illusion MK and Cabaiguan natural.

I like RP's Vintage 92's. The Ct. are pretty good too. To me it seems like he has his hand in too many blends. Makes me feel like he is doing it more for the money than to produce a quality line of cigars. He's doing too much too fast.

Wow, sounds like there are as many different opinions on RP's as there are RP smokes. The Edge Corojo is still one of my favorites. It's not one of your "hey, look at what I'm smokin', aren't I cool and sophisticated" brands, but on the whole it's a solid line.

Picked up a box of sun-grown from Holt's a cople of weeks ago. They tasted excellent when I was out in Utah!:assaultri
The only Sun Grown I've smoked was very mysterious to me. I fired it and smoked about 1/3 and was not impressed at all. Something came up and I cut off the cherry, stuck it in a glass tube and left. I got back to it 2 or 3 weeks later and the last 2/3 was amazing. I guess I'll have to smoke another one to find out what it tastes like in one sitting.
