Have a Audi A4 1.8t I think the engine just blew up... LOL
Was driving home, CEL started blinking on acceleration then goes out, very sluggish. Stopped @ AutoZone code is P0300 random misfire..

Any ideas?

Did you do the timing belt change at 60K? I hear it is needed on that 1.8T.

A P0300 OBD DTC code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why

Yup just did that not to long ago, with water pump etc...

Have done SAI pump twice... and combi valve.

Just replaced both horns.

Did coilpacks and plugs about a year ago.... Thinking maybe this again...

If you drove it home, your engine is fine. You have a misfire, a dead hole, something in the ignition system, as already noted probably a dead plug.

Wknd.

The coil packs and plugs look easy enough, but it was just done... So the parts sb under warranty still @ the dealer.... *crosses fingers*.

Start off easy...get a pack of plugs and wires. Try it yourself...if no go then go further. I has this happen on one of my old rides and I just needed a new plug wire...saved a butt load of money at a shop.

his car uses coil packs instead of wires...

Try plugs... they do get fouled up some times randomly...
