Can't Open Cigar Box!

So I received a box of cigars last night while I was at work. My girlfriend left them on the table for me. It has been pouring rain here for a couple days. I just tried to open the box & no luck. The lid should slide out the bottom. I'm wondering if the humidity has caused the box to swell on me. I don't know of any way to open it. I stuck it in my Avanti & am hoping that in a few hours in a controlled environment that I'll be able to open it. I don't want to do any damage to the box. Has this happened to anyone else? Any pointers?

90 percent RH in your area, give the box a few days in the humidor then try it.
