OK, posting in frustration now...and from my phone...so sorry for any errors.

I grabbed a Tat Frank, that I've been saving for some time now, to help celebrate my birthday today. So needless to say, I've been looking forward to this one. About 1.5 inches in the ash falls and I see a sizeable tunnel already dug down far enough to be out of sight. Damnit!!

So can anyone (heck, everyone) enlighten me and give me some explanation(s) of why this happens. And possibly, more importantly, how do I stop/correct it?!?

Answering the question, if it was in a steady RH environment, ye then were unlucky and got a badly rolled one. Unless ye either lit poorly or smoked in a windy weather.

Moros explainations seem good to me. It happens to me sometimes--I just relight and puff away! I had an Illusione the other night that I had to relight 4 times--annoying, but still a yummy cigar.

Come read again, it sounds like it wasn't what I thought it was. If ye meant the filler was in deep, whereas the binder and wrapper were longer, it might've been an inward burn.

You might just be unlucky - the few times it has happened to me (with cheapos) I usually just cut and relight otherwise you'll be touching it up the entire time.
