So lets say all you had was a cigar you wanted to keep at a decent humidity, a small plastic tupperware, and whatever else you could find around the house. What would be the best way to keep the cigar in good shape for a few weeks? Do you wet a paper towel or what?

PS you only have sink water, no distilled.

PSS. No "go to the store" solutions :cjump:

I heard that back in the day before all the high tech ways to keep them fresh people would use small cut up pieces of potato in their humidors to help keep cigars in smoking condition.

If it is properly moist you could put it in a mason jar or double bag it.No need for extra moisture since it would be sealed. However I cannot imagine having JUST ONE CIGAR!!!!

Well, from a theoretical stand point, you could boil water which would help the water situation. Take a small clean piece of cloth like from an old tshirt, moisten it and put it in a separate baggie. Do not close it completely, put that in the small tupperware container and use that to help keep your cigar at a somewhat decent rh, although you really have no way of knowing if it's way too wet or not.

My suggestion: Smoke the damn thing.
