Take 2 cigars from the same box, put them in different containers and get their humidity to different levels (1 60% the other 70%) Without a doubt there will be a difference, a rather large difference judging by my past experiences while trying to figure out a sustainable RH.
Or drybox one. Easier. :smokingbo

Could also be poor circulation in the humidor. Try moving them around on a regular basis to ensure coverage.

I will try that and report the results. How long would you recommend I dry box one that's currently at 69% to get it down?

All depends on where you live, temperature, humidity etc... Could be hours in Arizona could be days in PA, longer if its humid out... lol... I am not sure...:dunno:

Rotate the unburned portion down like mentioned above, and purge it from time to time as well to even up the burn. Put the unburned part up when you purge.

I'm pretty particular about how mine burns as well, and rarely ever have to touch up with a torch.

I always thought it happened if you smoke too fast. I've noticed when it starts to burn uneven, if I slow down and give a little extra time before my next few puffs it corrects itself... usually
