I just moved to an apt. in L.A. with no A/C.
I'd like to hear just from vinotemp owners who live in conditions where the VT sits in rooms that range from 73 to 80+ ambient.
What's your set up...
Beads/no beads;65 or 70RH?
Active or passive humidification...combo of both?
Plugged/unplugged drain hole?
Xtra fan; how many; fan placement..oust or CPU?
The more specific the better describing what works for you to help another VT brother!
I'd really like this to focus on guys with VTs in higher temp zones who have to constantly run the VT and deal with condesation issues and other problems that lower ambient temps VT owners don't have to deal with.

Thanks for the help.

I'm in Phoenix and my house is always between 75 and 80 during the summer. I don't have extra humidity here, but the total opposite... super low humidity.

Here is the link to the post with my setup. It's a small Vinotemp, drain plugged with rubber stopper, about a pound of 65% beads, and two Oust fans.

I spritz the beads about once a month or so... depending on how much and how long the door gets opened. Been rock solid since I set it up.

I know lots of bros with the Vinotemps set up so you should get plenty of examples.

Have fun!

Vino 28 with beads in AC house set in 78-80 range.

Has no problem maintaining 62 degrees (Long term storage, I know this is very low temp)

Mitch,

Do you get a lot of condensation at temps that low?
What RH is it maintaining?
Did you plug the drain hole?

That one stays a solid 62-65% with little fluctuation, it's in AC mostly so the air isn't super humid so no condensation problems. I did not plug the drain hole, the beads have no problem keeping up with it, I add water to the beads about once a month. When we've opened up the house a lot I notice the humidity will start to creep up, especialy if I'm in it alot, if it gets to where I'm concerned at all, I keep some "Damp Rid" around and will put a tub in it until I'm on the low side again, usualy over night is enough to do it.
