I went the easy route and ordered a new laptop with it installed. IMO, it's basically an updated windows vista. Now I just have to get unlazy and move everything from one laptop to the other.

pretty close, it's actually the Vistal core, stripped of the stuff people didn't like. I upgraded from vista, which I actually liked. the thing about Vista and Windows 7 is they require memory, so if you are skimping on memory...don't bother.
