Well, I enjoyed a Tat Regios this afternoon while raking leaves and I feel like a light bulb finally went on. I generally don't taste all these different flavors that I read about, although I got down to the final 1/3 of this smoke and the taste or hint of chocolate kind of hit me out of nowhere. Is this a flavor consistent with this cigar? Thanks!~

Its all subjective. There is a certain standard that I expect from certain Tats but I have found that the "flavors" and "tastes" vary from smoke to smoke.

I concur on the Regios Reservas - the chocolate flavor was the strongest of any cigar I've had - quite wonderful!!!

I guess I'm going to have to try the Regios Reserva now. Thanks for the recommendation!!!

I remember when I started tasting flavors. Conga rats and welcome to the cigar world.
I'm not even sure what to say besides thank you! I was expecting the pepper to hit and ended up with chocolate. Thanks again!~

Would you also recommend some different drinks for different Tats?
No. Some folks enjoy smokes with beer, wine, or fine spirits. I am a fan of all of the above. I believe that good wine, beer, and single malt scotches each have their respective places. I prefer to enjoy them alone and without complicating the palate with a fine cigar. The flavors in each are very pronounced and should be experienced without dilution or confusion, especially if you are spending good coin on the drink.

Coffee, on the other hand, is a flavor that is often noted in some of the best smokes. Drinking a good cup seems to enhance or bring out the flavors or even compliment the cigar. (Unless the cigar is an acid, in which case, you should try drinking drain cleaner while you smoke it.) I have found this to be the case not only with Tats, but with Olivas, Fuentes, Pardons, HCs, etc.

Stupid question time: does the Regios Reserva go by a different name? I can't find them for sale on bigeasycigards.com or newhavanacigars.com. Thanks!
