83th Birthday of Route 66..

Today is the 83th birthday of the Route 66; believe they put up a sign in Santa Monica today, declaring a true end of the route.

I was listening to KNX-1070 news radio today and they were talking about it. The interviewed WigWam (Kumar) from his hotel in San Berdoo. It was pretty cool.

I was at the Wigam Motel when they were filming the segment that was on TV today. If it was the same audio, it was done last Friday.

I've done the whole route 66 in 1994 started in chicago and all the way to santa monica, took about 14 days and I had a blast. back then I was still just a tourist and in 95 I moved to los angeles.

This is something I have always wanted to do in an old automobile, preferably something with a rumble seat. I already know I am weird though. After reading through some of the hackers paradise website I also now want a pair of Poulter Tartan trousers and if I could justify $182 trousers I would have them. Needless to say I have strange ambitions in life, but like filling my humidor it will happen someday.
