Must be tough living life up there on that pedestal. People who claim tolerance are often the most intolerant of those they disagree with. Unfortunatley so many live in my state. Just claim it was a joke :thumbsup:

I find this statement ironic, since so many people responded to mfromwhere's statement with intolerance to his opinion. That said, I don't agree with him either.

Dude have you ever held a gun before? Did they give you the instant sensation to run out and shoot people? Millions of legal gun owners kill nobody and if someone wants to go nuts be it driving down the wrong side of the freeway or building a bomb its going to happen.

Interesting He called them sick. Implying mentally deranged. I said he had an intollerant view for calling them sick and you find that ironic? I guess our definition of irony differs from yours. I didnt call him sick or deranged or say he had issues. I said his view was closed minded and unaccepting of others views. Ironic I dont find that.

Is it sick to teach a young girl to field strip and shoot a rifle? I live in Cali and I say no. Perhaps they are members of the NRA and enjoy guns. Perhaps it is a family activity they share. It is still okay to do this. Enjoying guns is not a crime. Many law abiding citizens do this. I happen to own said rifle. Hell I have one in my patrol car at work and its Fully automatic :starrylov. I have one in my home. I guess I am sick for picking my job knowing I may have to pay the ultimate cost or take someones life in defense of others.

I know one thing for sure. I dont think any dude will mess with her. I hope my 2 daughters grow up to be strong women as well. I will be teaching them to shot a gun. Gasp I must be a barbarian for teaching my kids about weapons.

I have been in this "moment" before on botl before.(Dif subject though) Please rememer that we all call this place home and maybe some opinions and statements will always be taken the wrong way. It is also the reason we use Pms when things get heated. Please, if any opinions seem strong willed we have a chat room along with the pm system as well where a few can sit around for hours discussing abortions, guns, and politics if need be. My whole point is lets all try to at least enjoy the 1 thing we all agree on; cigars.
