gifted some cigars ?

[/IMG][/IMG]just got these cigars today by a friend he says he has had them for some time the condition tells me otherwise.should i try and save them by placing them in my humidor for some time and wait what happens or are the a lost cause and should i just toss them?one of the cigars has very heavy plum on it the other very dry

looks like mold to me....but that's just my opinion. If they got to dry ya already lost the oils in the leaf and it might be a lost cause.........

It's hard to tell! That was my first thought as well though. The one on the right with the broken foot looks all kinds of gnarled and destroyed.

I'd forget about them. They looked like they were completely soaked at one point so I'd be quite certain that they're moldy. Plus, as stated above, dryness can evaporate the oils & in turn, the flavors.

Yeah the one on the right looks as if it were dipped in water and the one on the left is molded to hell... Not much saving if you ask me but if you want go for it, you never know! Keep that molded on outta any of your cigars once you get mold in a humidor you might as well throw it out cuz the cedar will always have the spores in it.

I think it is mold. It looks like one of the bands has water damage to it. A dry cigar will not plume.
