Looking in all the Black Friday ads, the Sony BDP-S360 seems to be selling everywhere for $149 (okay $148 at Walmart) which I've been coveting since the spring, back when it was $299. The price eventually dropped to $199...but that was still more than I (or really, my wife) was willing to pay.

So cut to today...

I just happened to be browsing Amazon.com and what did I find? The Sony BDP-S360 on sale (early Black Friday sale) for just $118  and no tax/free shipping to boot!

Cop'd!

If you're looking for a Blu Ray player tomorrow and don't want to buy the bottom-of-the-barrel sub-$100 "door buster" units that could get you killed at 4am, check out that Sony on Amazon!

Blu ray is amazing. That was one of my main requirements for my new laptop. Not only did it have to have a 1080p screen but a blue ray player. The difference is just astounding.

Go to Amazon or BestBuy.com and get some on sale... some are 7.99 when they are normally close to $40!

I love Blu-Ray! I laugh at the people who thinks there is no difference
from a DVD. 1080p TV + Blu-Ray hooked up via HDMI is money.

IU love my blu-ray player, and as long as your not set on getting movies when they come out, they drop down to 7-12 bucks on amazon if you buy them used. Lovin it.

I am yet to upgrade to a Blue-Ray player. If I do that, I will need to upgrade my TV to 1080p. Right now I have a 55 inch Mitsubishi that I am totally happy with. Had it now for 7 years, 2nd TV that I have bought in 24 years.
