Lately I'm finding myself more drawn to this size smoke, especially the La Riqueza Petit Robusto. I love the flavors I'm finding in this vitola, and the fact that I can either smoke this thing quickly if I have to, or take my time. I also notice the same with the T110's I've had; even though they've kicked my ass each time. Other than the Tatuaje Cohetes, the My Father Bijou's, are there any other Petit Robustos out there? And which are your favorite Petit Robustos?

Graycliff Double Espresso (cigarsinternational.com, cigar.com, or cigarbid.com), Tatuaje Verocu #9 (from Holts.com).
Cubao Maduro comes in what they call a Rothchild, basically the same thing (roughly 4.5" x 50), as does the Gran Habano Corojo #5, a cheap but nice smoke, and the AF Chateau Sungrown. Then there is the 5 Vegas "A" Atomic, 5 Vegas Miami Knuckle (60 ring), and the NUB lines.

NJ, how do the Double Expresso's compare with the original Graycliff Expressso's?

To be exclusive to CCs is to ignoring a vast range of cigars, many of which, although not Cuban, are of great quality none the less. Some people like myself cannot afford to enjoy CCs on a regular basis. If that's all there was to BOTL (which would be more accurately depicted as BOTCL or BOTHL if that were the case) I would not have been drawn here because I could not relate. However, I am greatful for the Habanos threads where I can learn more about them so that when I am able to enjoy them I will know what to enjoy. I think there is great talent in the NC market that has came from the CC market (DPG being a prime example).<sigh>

Okay first of all, when did I say "exclusive" to CCs? We used to talk the shit outta Fuentes too ya know. :stickbeat
Secondly, you're misinformed if you think CCs are expensive. The majority of mainline, regular production sticks are in fact less expensive than all these Tats and the like we're talking about here nowadays.
I don't think Duane is saying that only CCs are good, but rather that this discussion started off talking about petit robustos without mentioning THE Petit Robusto. As for Cuban cigars being expensive, they are often actually cheaper than comparable premium non-Cuban cigars, particularly as taxes on legally imported cigars continue to increase.

Don't get me wrong, the Tatuaje Havana Cazadores is one of my favorite cigars in the entire fucking world, I *LOVE* that stick and will gladly pay the $9 per stick price all day, every day.
But dude, the CC price of the same size cigar (and what it was originally modeled after) is 30% less.
Don't tell me CCs are more expensive. :noemotion

sad but true. can't imagine that too many people wouldn't like to be able to purchase a box of, say, psd4's for less than $150. especially when you compare it to a similarly priced box of nc's.
