Exactly Larry! lol what's worse an Amish man driving a buggy under the influence or being the guy who has to arrest him for doing so?

I'm not totally up on Amish lifestyle, are they allowed to drink?
they are a very strict and devout religious community. They avoid many forms of technology if possible so as to avoid distractions. They do use some forms of tobacco, but do not use cigarettes because they're considered wordly. Most do not approve of alcohol either.

Some Amish are allowed to drink by their church rules some are not, but drinking to excess would be looked down upon. During Rumspringa (runing around time) Amish youths can do allot of things that would normally be frowed upon, drinking, driving and owning cars. etc.

This story reminds me of a couple Amish guys that used to come to fix things at the stable I worked at. They would giggle like a couple schoolgirls when we let them use power tools and listen to baseball on the radio.
