Boris in Cello?

Ok, quick question...While pete was here in Dallas at the PTDC, I won his goodie bag filled with various sticks in a raffle...inside were 7 Boris in cello, which I assumed were just reg Boris that he uses to hand out at events...but when I got home and looked at them, they seem to be a larger RG (noticeably larger) and just seem different from the reg release (I have not smoked one yet...)

I am sure that the rg is different because these were not boxed, but I am just checking to see if anyone had heard anything!

Were they round vs. box pressed? If so that could be the RG difference.

Nope, I haven't heard anything on that at all.

But you can send one to me and I'll measure measure it and tell you if the ring gauges are different. :stretchgr:

Well, the reg boris are not box pressed (ie, square) but the celloed ones do seem to be more...loose? I am assuming it is because they have not been sitting in boxes for a long time...

I didn't compare it to the ones in the box yet, but I do have one given to me by Pete in cello. I'll have to check that out when I get home tonight.

You know, that could be it ... Pete was undecided on which wrapper to use on the Boris and made some testers, so these could be those. I do think it's more likely that they are simply a non-boxpress version of the released Boris.

Whatever they are ... PETE IS GIVING OUT BORIS AT EVENTS? WHAT? Is it just raffles or something, or is it like the Black robustos ...

I loves me some Boris, and will happily take any overruns, seconds, FFs, mislabels, sneezed-on, dropped on the floor, returned because the wrapper was cracked, or Boris in any other form, costume, or completely naked!

I'm planning to get a box of Blacks from on of the events he's at, and would love to score some extras to. I loves me some Boris!
