* A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW AND SLEET ARRIVES BY EARLY AFTERNOON... CHANGING TO ALL SNOW BY DUSK. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

* TRAVEL WILL BECOME DIFFICULT IN THE WARNED AREA. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED. DOWNED TREES AND TREE LIMBS ALONG WITH POWER OUTAGES MAY OCCUR.

* STORM TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS OF 12 TO 18 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS ALONG THE BLUE RIDGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

I'm glad to be here in the South, 9 years in Northern MN was enough COLD/SNOW for me ......
But It is funny to watch and hear the folks talk about the big snows here in SC, OMFG u would think the world is coming to an end when they get 1" to 2" .....Just stay off the road.

First Good Snowfall in years

No such thing as a good snowfall.

The only part that sucks is a lot of people who were suppose to be flying tonight had their flight plans changed to the morning. I only know because our Christmas stand down started today and there are three people I know who had to call their families and let them know they were going to be late. Luckily I am waiting till the 25th to fly so the big snow storms should pass.
