Ok so I'm a college kid strapped for cash, and these sounded pretty good. I know they're a sponsor of ours and everything, but the description made them sounds too good to be true for the price...any opinions on these?

I would probably keep them as "everyday" sticks, or ones that I would give away to a buddy for a smoke.

Thanks all!

-Dave

Also about to walk in the door of my business law final...wish me luck!!

I can't believe this brand has gone down so far in reputation. 5 years ago these were pricey cigars, but unfortunately they were inconsistent. When "on" they were outstanding.

I would try the Salsa if you like your cigars spicy, Peg Leg if you are a maduro fan, and Don Douglas if you are into mild smokes.

These were always my favorites and they are less than half the price I remember paying for them. No one else that I'm aware of makes a Costa Rican Puro anymore.

Treasure of Costa Rica - Puro

Treasures of Costa Rica: Puros Medium Bodied est.: 2004

This cigar is blended with 100% true Costa Rican aged tobaccos. An outstanding Puro that is on par with old Cuban cigars. A rich flavor unlike any other cigar you may have smoked.

Sizes: Robusto 5 X 50, Belicoso 6 X 54

Blend: Wrapper, Filler & Binder:

Costa Rican Aged 3 years A Puro that reminds many old timers of the way cigars once were made prior to the Cuban embargo. Excellent flavor typical of premium long leaf tobacco prior to 1962. It has a richness in flavor that is truly hard to explain.

Its truly a special smoking experience. One of a kind! Excellent rating – Smoke Magazine Rated 88 in Cigar Aficionado.

Stay away from the Bucanero Reds. They are absolute trash. I literally had a hard time giving them away.

I have reviewed 1/2 the line with the other half coming over the next couple months - you can find them on my site. One thing common to most of the line is the aged tobacco taste - a mustiness that is not found in very many other blends. Some love it some hate it. For the price they are now at though you can't go wrong trying them at least - especially the samplers.
