Help identify the other noellas

Hey all,

I bought a couple pairs of Tatuaje Noellas, from different B&Ms, and there is a different wrapper on each pair. It looks to me like the darker one is original release and the other is regular release. The thing is that the darker ones came from a box that I swear said 09 on the stamp.

Couldn't be a reserva, no second band. Let me know what you think.

I agree.

I noticed that a lot of the wrappers I have seen lately are dark. I was looking at regios the were the same color as the cazadores.

Not complaining but I am interested in why.

This batch of wrapper may have come out darker than it had previously, it happens with a natural product.

+1 on that you see that from time to time you will probably will not notice much difference in taste

Probably not what you want to hear but I agree with this 100%

Pretty normal. We use about a five to six shade range on the regular line of browns. From where the bands are placed on the lighter ones, it seems like an older batch. Did you get a date on those?

Lately the wrapper has been coming in pretty dark mainly because Pepin has more tobacco and is able to do a smaller range of color for me and all his clients. I'm happier because of it.

Thanks for the reply everyone, especially Pete. I figured that it might be wrapper variation, but wanted to make sure. I didn't think about looking at the date on the lighter ones, so I am not sure about the date on those.

I was under the impression that the first reserva noellas (ligero, not maduro) didn't have the second reserva band?

I have noticed the wrappers have been darker on the Noellas as well, good stuff Pete! Such a classic Vitola.
