Striped wrappers on cigars

Guys,

Just noticed on the bombing thread, part of someones payload was a Rocky Patel cigar with a wrapper that looks like a barbers pole or the colour match on Ford cars over here.

So is it just RP that makes em and are they any good ?

(Newbie needs nc advice!)

I really liked it! There are other manufacturers that do the same kind of dual wrapper design too, but it's not common.

They are called barber poles and are not rare, many makers had done them like the Fuente Between the Lines. Does not make for a good or bad cigar, it's mostly gymic IMO. Beware of the cheap barber poles though, they are usualy making a bad cigar look good.

it's called the split decision. had a double barber, a triple, and a quad.

i had a few of the quads. weird flavor to me, but i just have not been able to get into the candela wrapper- so it might just be because of that!

terrible cigars IMHO, the triple and quad just have the strip of wrapper over top of the other wrapper and when I smoked them it just peeled off by itself
