I am wondering if anyone else has this tradition. When my daughter was born I bought a box of my favorite cigars.(el Rey Damundo robosto supremo oscro). I bought one extra so that i have enough for 21 years. I smoke one a year one or about her birthday. This is a very important smoke, the time it takes to smoke lets me remember her growing up. I only smoke one year so i look forward to the smoke and the time. I will not smoke this stick any other time. This years stick was 7 years old and more then worth the wait. I remembered bring her home and not wanting to put her down. hell i cleaned the garage so she would not have to get in and out of the van in the cold. Anyway i was just wondering.

I will do this is I ever have kids.
If I have a son I will be purchasing a box of 20 and on his 18th he will be enjoying that stick with me if he so chooses.

The best plan for a boy is to buy the box and then smoke one on the day he is born and then one on his birthday for the following 17 years. That will take 18 cigars and leave 7. On his 18th birthday, you each smoke an 18 year old cigar together and if he likes it, you gift him the final fiver for his birthday.

my twin sons were born in 1985. I didnt smoke back then. About 5 or 6 years ago, I was lucky enough to get a bunch of Original release Fuente 858 to celebrate my kids.

On another note, what if it's a box of Ashton VSG's? :scratchhe:
