Palio Review

Freaking best cutter on the market. This thing can take off a finger at the knuckle and still cut your smoke with no problem, trust me I've done it.

that being said, I have had 2. The first, the original, lost it. The second, the carbon fiber one. Would have been great if it was CfF as the coating started coming off after the first month. I had planned on taking it into a store to replace it. However, as the other, I can't seem to find it either.

If you had the xikar carbon one it does not rub off because it's real stuff.

yeah, I have that one as well. No, their CFf just comes off the metal sides it's attached too. I did get that one replaced.

seems Palio has come up with a better way to manufacture the carbon fiber cutter, and the quality has improved

My Palio is my second favorite cigar cutter; it cuts better than anything I've tried except for my Swiss Army Knife (SAK) cutter. The Palio certainly cuts better than my expensive Xikar as well as any cheap cutter I've tried, but it's still only second fiddle to my SAK. Unfortunately, the Palio feels a little cheap in your hand, especially compared to a Xikar which has better heft and a much better choice of high quality finish materials. If you can overlook all that and focus on pure functionality, the Palio provides a better cut than the Xikar...but still not as good as the SAK.
