I don't but in my situation I think it would be pointless. I have cc's on top and nc on the bottom and the humidity is perfect for each of them.

Thanks J. I hear people talk about this but I am not sure what they mean. What benefit is there to this practice I am unsure of

Sort of... I go in once every six months or so to check everything, move everything around and adjust things. If one buried corner of the humidor isn't getting humidity, a wrapper could split or at the very least burn unevenly (more likely in my desktop), or if it's trapping too much humidity, mold could start (more likely in my cooler).

for those of us without the super sweet walkins, yes i rotate them, not terribly often, but slightly more often in my desktops.

the wineador i rotate every month or so mostly due to changes in cigars consolidation, etc.

Yes, but it's by default...

Sending bombs / Making trades / Smoking / Looking for stuff

It just happens...

rotating your cigars in a static space prevents wet spots in your humi, many people use oust fans to avoid having to over handle their cigars and balance the humidity.

the theory is, the humidity can 'pool' in a desktop or even a cabinet without active circulation and that humidity can make a certain well over what your goal RH% is. rotating your cigars is one way to ensure some of your cigars don't get ruined.

I check my boxes every six months or so, I give each box a look-see and those with 10 or so sticks are put in the smoking drawer/desktop. The rotation is more by accident as there is no way I could remember where each box was when I started.

Similar situation here, but usually about 90 days. Typically I am reloading the desktop, which is where I pull my daily smokes from. If I have a hankering for a particular stick, then I dig through the boxes until I find what I am looking for and usually restock the desktop at the same time. So, rotation is simply a by-product of restocking my case, never the focus.

Usually as I get new cigars I put most at the bottom and rotate the older stock upwards. But always leaving a few stix on the top shelf for sampling.

Mine get rotated at least once a day on the week days and up to four or five times on weekends because I never know what I want to smoke. I never touch the cigar just the foam tray. I always see a cigar that I think I will want second but when I return to the humidor I realize I no longer have a hankering for that one so I rummage around till I find one I do. So, like most people said it is a byproduct not a goal.
