Cigar Buzz

Got that feeling from a Gurkha G3 and a CAO Mx2 Box Press. Both with full stomachs.

I don't really get buzzed, at least not in a sick dizzy vomity way. If a smoke if just right, and all the stars align, I kinda feel like I'm so relaxed I've almost melted into the chair.

Generally I smoke milder cigars in the daytime, save the strong ones for after dinner. As for the buzz, about once a year I get talked into trying some form of smokeless tobacco, this lasts usually less than 5 minutes and everytime get one heck of a room spinning buzz, then sickness, then realize it is a bad idea until the next year when I try it again.

I've been thinking about this and I don't think empty stomach has played a major roll for me, I remember many that happened after a meal, I also don't think strength has lots to do with the very relaxed, kind of high, buzz that I'm talking about. Anyway, I love it when I get one.

I will say as others have reported, I usually smoke on a half full or completely full stomach so I do not usually get a buzz from them. I also am a cigarette smoker so perhaps that has something to do with it as well. I will say, the Cain Habano was one of the first that gave me a buzz - highly enjoyable. A few of the Cain F is sitting in my humidor right now for an after steak dinner smoke : )

Very few cigars get me buzzed, but I've had some that just left me thinking, Wow, I feel like I've been drinking, but I haven't (much anyway). This morning I smoked an oldie that gave me a mild buzz, and I noticed the tip of my tounge and lips got a bit numb. Most buzzed I've gotten from a current production stick has been off the Don Carlos Aniv. Toro and the first time more so than any time after, so something in me likely was different that day.

Anyway, what has been your experiences with gettin buzzed off cigars? and does it have more to do with us, the cigar or the combination of the two?

That's weird you say that I had the same expierence with the Don Carlos Anniversary too. (its the opus X Don Carlos). That is one of the only cigars that ever made me feel that way. Numbness in lips tounge and a nice nicotine high. Great cigar.

I guess it may have to do with both, the cigar and the condition your body at the time. I never got sick or light headed from a cigar but I do remember smoking a stick (probably med to full bodied) on am empty stomach before lunch and feeling a little wired. Occasionally I did get a little buzzed while smoking a stronger cigar at night with friends but I’m not sure if it was from the cigar or the bourbon. Probably the later.

Tat Cohete, Cain, and T110 are the three I can remember that buzzed me good. The first T110 I smoked really killed me, but the other 5-6 I've had didn't.

I have never been able to kick the habit of chewing Copenhagen that I picked up in high school. Since I can't smoke cigars at work, I always chew me tobacce. My system is always chock full of nicotine. I have never got buzzed on anything

The last cigar to get me really buzzed was actually a tat combo...
When the Frank came out in 08 I was smoking one with a few friends at a B&M, they were smoking much slower than I was and putting down their cigars to talk, while I was so into the cigar I could barely keep from puffing...
I ended up nubbing it while they still had a while to go. I thought "well, if they're going to take a while I might as well smoke another one" I was recommended the el triumfador...i figured "I'll take this one slower, it won't be so bad"

The combination of the DC sized frank and the tighter draw from the triumfador gave me a wicked head rush. Suffice to say the drive home was rough. I couldn't even make it to my bedroom. I just flopped on the couch and took a nice nap.

I had an Oliva a couple months ago that knocked me down! I don't remember which one it was though. Yesterday at the B&M I had a Reserva SW I smoked while sitting down the whole time and didn't move, when I stood up I had a little buzz going. I think it was more that I was trying to smoke it in about 60-70 minutes as that is all the time I had and was puffing quite a bit.

I would guess it was one of the Serie V, the rest of Oliva's stuff is more medium bodied.

You are right, I have it's brother in the humi but didn't want to go searching for it to see which one.

had a johnny o that significantly buzzed me,,, had to lay down for a bit!! i contributed it more to the coffee(caffiene). had a casa fuente that layed me to waste! i contributed it to all the tequila the night before.

Man, can't say I felt the fun times with a T110 or LG or LFD, but Halloween night... That Boris really kicked my ass.... Even after a full meal and plenty of candy...
