I am thinking about ordering some beads from Heartfelt since I am having some humidity issues in my humidor. The thing is, I am wondering what to put the beads in. If you have any great ideas, post them here. Oh ya, to give you an idea, I have a desktop measuring 11.5"L x 9"W x 6.5"D (inside dimension).

TIA

You can put them in some new pantyhose. Cut them down to make a great "sock" to hold your beads.

I actually use pill faubs (sp) for my desktops, only because I don't have the tubes though. They seem to work well enough.

Yep, that is what I use as well.
You can buy "socks" from several places. But if you are looking to save a few bucks go with the pantyhose. I think I paid $0.99 & made two "socks" out of it. I also use the scraps to make bait sacks for fishing. So the $0.99 goes a long way for me.

If you're tight on cash and want to use stuff you may have in the house here are a few suggestions.

Picture beads_1: is a plastic cigar tube. Use a #10 drill bit with a dremel tool to randomly drill holes all over the tube. Takes about 5 minutes and works great.

Picture beads_2: any small container that will fit where you want. Fill 1/2 to 3/4 with beads.

Picture beads_3: a prescription bottle drilled the same way as the cigar tube.

Easy to fit in the humi and to see when the beads need water.

I like the mesh bags because I find it's just a little easier to mist the beads or dry them out as needed compared with the tubes (the tubes have smaller perforations, and it's harder to see exactly how many beads are clear - with the bags you can just jostle the bag around a bit to see).

Well I just ordered 1/2 lb of beads and 2 of the large tubes from Heartfelt and I'm hoping this will put an end to my (lack of) humidity problems. I'm going to put all my stuff into a tupperdor and reseason my desktop when the beads come in.
