Stocked My First Humidor

I got my first humidor from my wife for Christmas, and I've spent the last 3 weeks reading everything you guys have to say about storage. Last night I felt like it was finally done seasoning, and ready for use.

I received my first shipments of cigars a few days ago, and had them in a tupordore with some beads. I moved them to the humi last night, and everything seems to be working great. After sitting overnight it is at %70RH. I have %65 beads in it, and expect it slowly come down.

I just wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate all your advice, and answers to my questions. I don't know how long, or how many cigars I could have ruined without everyone's help.

Make sure your beads are just about 50/50 in color so they can absorb the extra humidity, congrats and good luck!

you may notice your 65% beads will rest at 67 or so. not to worry they shuould smoke good there. If you want to stor at 65% you may want to get the 60% beads as they tend to sit at about 63% for me at least

Congratulations man! I'm currently using the tupperdor, however I'm looking to purchase a humidor soon. I may buy a 100ct desktop humidor to store them in or just hold off for a while and pick up a vinotemp. Focusing on buying and trying new sticks at the moment though.

hold off if you plan on getting a Vino anyway. Why make two purchases? Use the money towards smokes.
