I smoked random cigars with buddies throughout college. Nothing worth noting. After graduating, I got a little more in to it and bought a humidor off Cbid. Found out about BOTL through their forums and it's been a blast ever since.

I had my first few cigars on my 17th birthday. I was given a 3 finger leather case with a CoRo, Monte 2, and PAM 64 Diplomatico. I smoked the two CCs first, well because they were CC. I thought they were ok, but I wasn't going to run out and buy more of them. I had the PAM 1964 last, and that stick was incredible. After that stick, all I smoked from about 17-21 were PAM 1964/26. Back then, a box of PAMs would last me about 2 months. It wasn't until about 3-4 years ago that I really started getting into cigars and trying everything I could get my hands on. Some days, I wish I never would have smoked that PAM 64.

My Grandmother passed away 5 years ago and it still feels like yesterday. She ment the whole world to me and I would give anything to just hug her one more time. I would come home as a teen (I lived with my grandparents after HS) late after work or early morning after a weekend party and my grandma always got up, sat with me at the table where we would have a cigerette and a cup of coffee together and just talk about how our day went (Didn't matter if it was 3am). My grandma was the best and I miss her still, everyday.
Your intro just sounded alot like what I had growing up....Treasure it!

As far as cigars I have smoked them on and off for many years. It wasn't untill summer of 08 I took it up as a serious hobby. It is my only vice!

My dad started me on cigars when I was 15 or 14... Needless to say he created a monster. I think I'm on year 13 or 14!

Two or three a year for over 15 years - Started a more frequent routine after a trip to Mexico City and began stocking & maintaining a humidor in October '09.

So, 3.5 months!

I've smoked about 3 cigars a year for the last 6 years. Wasn't until a couple months ago I started smoking more frequently, and paying more attention to what I'm smoking.

A little over 5 years for me. I was living in New Orleans at the time, and a local friend took me by the Cigar Factory New Orleans. Within 2 months I was working there and smoking all day!

I've been back in MS since Katrina and can't smoke at work anymore, so I'm down to about 3 a week.
