So, yesterday was an unplanned day off for me, thanks to the snow gods. As such, I decided to have a "me" day and go down to the beach. At first, I wasn't sure that it was going to go so well because they're currently working on Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. However, I did find a way to slip out on to the beach

It was cold, but the sun was out and my coat was soaking in the heat, so I was able to stay mostly warm. I pulled an Oliva Serie V figurado out, cut it and lit it. The storms have eroded the beach so I was able to sit up high above it on a dune. It snowed and there was still snow out on the sand. The sky was perfectly clear and no one was out on the beach. It was so peaceful.

I sat on the dune for over an hour, purely enjoying the smoke. I wasn't looking for any special flavors or an experience beyond what I was having at that moment. I took a few pictures, but Im having trouble getting them off of my phone.

I had to say a prayer of thanks because it was so beautiful, almost overwhelmingly so. I had the entire beach to myself. It was just me and the seagulls, and the song of the waves.

Mr. E., it sounds like you had a pretty damn good day for a February 1st.

You ever go to Dewey Beach?

Sounds like an amazing experience, really sulking in the beauty of life. Can't get much better than that whole enjoying one of your favorite smokes. I hope more of these days to come!

Sounded like a very nice hour!!
It was a nice day... I started out by sleeping in. Checked the boards, then I went and got the CA, (the only mag, 1 issue, that I buy all year,) then I went and picked up the Oliva V figurado, RP The Edge maduro, (LOVE that sitck, and a LFD DL-700... (thick bastard.) Than, on my way home after my beach experience, I stopped at another shop and got a Casa Magna Colorado robusto, CAO LX2, and I FINALLY found the Oliva V maduro, (I'll be saving that for a LONG time!)

I used to love going out to the dunes at Cape Cod in the winter. Great pics.
