Partagas Coronas

Are these still in production? Everything I've read indicated that they have been discontinued, yet I still see them "in stock" at one of our sponsor sites, and still see them from time to time on other sites. Anyone have any insight? They're not listed on the Habanos SA official catalog.

Jason, check on the date code with the sponsor if you can. These can be quite exceptional. The last batch I had was from 2002, and quite wonderful. I have not seen them around for awhile and can find no evidence that they were discontinued. The PCs were definitely discontinued in 2002, but there are still some of those around as well.

Yeah, I received an '02 from you in a sampler pack I got from you a while back. It was one of the best cigars I've ever smoked.

I've heard that they are or are going to be discontinued. I'd love to try one seeing how I pretty much love anything Partagas. The 898v, lusis, salomones, psd4, psp2. . .

Right you are. IIRC, cabs were first discontinued and dressboxes followed shortly thereafter.

Yes these are discontinued. If I recall correctly they discontinued the Cabinet/SLB verions back in '02. I believe the DB versions where cut in '04 or '05. Shame cause these are very good cigars specially in the cabinet format.

The DB must have been cut in 06 because that's the last code I've seen.

You had three sizes of Partagas Coronas....B25, SLB50 & B25c

B25 was discontinued 2006. SLB50 was discontinued c2003. B25c was discontinued in the early 1990s.

Aaron and I managed to meet up in Havana, and we each picked up boxes from 10/99 of these, amongst other goodies. I'll let you know how they smoke.
