Any idea on how well this will function as a wineador?

Looks like seperate zones split down the middle. I wonder how much space will be lost due to this? Do you need the cooling part of it? If not, go with a standard wine cooler that doesn't have the split zones to free up more space IMO.

Well, the intent was to actually use one side for wine....just wasn't sure if the cooling unit is good enough for use as a wineador for the other half.

Jere you may run into problems if you need to use a temp regulator. If it's needed then both zones will be set to the temp selected on the temp regulator. So you would have warm wine or chilly cigars. If the factory setting allow you to set the temp at the desired level you want (65-70?) in the zone where you will store cigars then you might be able to pull it off. Hope this helps.

you won't be able to use the temp controller, but I know several guys who use VINOTEMPS without external temp controllers. the max temp is 65* ought to work fine

If you were keeping reds and not whites, then maybe you can pull it off since they are kept at a higher temp. Typically, my coolers run about 3-5 degrees cooler than the rest of the room and they aren't even plugged in for whatever reason. So you might be able to pull it off depending on where you keep your temps in your house, etc.

So a regulator would control both zones? Even though there are two different control panels, one for each zone?

And I am not a big white wine guy, so the temp on that side would stay up higher.

Is there only 1 plug to plug into the wall? The plug goes into the regulator which in turn goes into the wall which turns the electricity on and off to the cooler to control the temps. If there are 2 plugs from the cooler, 1 for each side then you shouldn't have any issues.

I gotcha. Not sure, but probably just one. So, like Dave said as well, it won't work.
