Both 08 and 09 are amazing right out of the box. I cannot wait to taste one of them 5 years down the round. I can only hope 2010 will be half as good.

Well from what I'm getting they are good out of the box and then get sick for a while....like 4+ years. I will enjoy them while I can.

I agree that both '08 & '09 have been smoking well ROTT. If you are a fan of this robusto you will appreciate the consistentcy.

FWIW-I wish they were all as good as the PSD#5.

I agree that both '08 & '09 have been smoking well ROTT. If you are a fan of this robusto you will appreciate the consistentcy.

FWIW-I wish they were all as good as the PSD#5.

Typically PSD4's are awesome fresh for the first year. Then they need a good nap least 3 years and then come out very nicely developed and can be a very nice smooth smoke. Very different aged and quite good then fresh. I like them both fresh and aged. Typically I'll smoke half a box fresh and then lay down the second half to age and revisit much later. I've had '08's and '09's and have loved them fresh.
