the viewing was incredible. the flower arrangements were incredible. closed coffin, guarded by the Border Patrol color guard . and, every fifteen minutes, they were relieved by a fresh duo. absolutely amazing! absolutely heartbreaking. tomorrow will be surreal....

thanks for the release!!

I did the color guard detail for my friend and partner Deputy Abel Escalante's viewing a year and a half ago. I am really sad for your loss and your department's. Tomorrow's funeral will be sad but so amazing seeing the turn out. It really made me thankful for all my partners, knowing that even if you have never talked to someone or met them they care about you like a brother.

I will be thinking of all you tomorrow.

RIP Deputy Ken Collier

I wish I could make it over there tomorrow to show my support for one of our brothers, but I will be at work and doubt they will authorize drive down there for the day.

Condolences on the loss, such a sad story.

I'm a police dispatcher in Ontario,Canada and lost a friend of mine in an on duty vehicle accident this past year. Really is amazing to see how the police family supports one another in times of need. I'm sure your fellow brothers and sisters will be there for you in the days weeks and months to come.

You're in our thoughts and prayers.
