Tupperdor container question

Hey Ron, first of all thanks for all the information you have provided in this forum. Great questions and answers for a noob like me.

I've been looking at different containers for a tupperdor when I came across a food storage unit that had a pencil-diameter hole on the top for the food to get some air. Would it be a good idea to put 70% beads in there and leave the hole open to keep air circulating, or will that cycle in too much dry air? The container is about 15"X10"X4".

I would keep it closed. I used a similar container and kept that whole closed with the little flap it had.

I always end up going with a coolador being the baskets just dont have an air tight lid. Has anyone found one that is or have they used weather stripping to help?

So leaving it open will drop the humidity too much? Will anything else bad happen?
